Eagle Communications is an employee owned communications company based in Hays, Kansas. "Eagle" owns and operates 23 radio stations in the states of Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri, and 32 cable television systems in Kansas and Colorado. Eagle is also now proud to offer High-Speed Internet Access and Digital Phone Service at competitive prices.
"Eagle", formerly KAYS, Inc., was incorporated on July 22, 1946. The company’s principal activities until February of 1989 were commercial television, radio broadcasting, and providing cable television signals to subscribers. In 1989 the company sold its commercial television stations. Eagle now concentrates on radio broadcasting, cable television, internet service, and digital phone service.
The corporate headquarters of Eagle Communications, Inc. is located in Hays, Kansas. The President and Chief Executive Officer of "Eagle" and each of its subsidiaries is Gary D. Shorman. The Chief Executive Officer carries responsibilities for overall management of the Companies to achieve standards of performance and profitability pursuant to policies and directives set forth by the Board of Directors, which is chaired by Robert E. Schmidt.
