EMTA (Embedded Media Terminal Adapter)
This cable modem and voice all-in-one device converts the voice signal into an IP packet and vice versa. This device is what connects the IP packet to the Eagle Communications and Big River's managed networks. The equipment converts the voice signal into an IP packet and vice versa. The managed networks will mean that your call will travel a secure connection and not affected by the traffic of the public Internet.
Eagle Communications will give you free use of an EMTA. All you need is a touchtone phone. Eagle will also send a trained service technician to your home or place of business to professionally install your equipment and make sure that your EagleVoice System is up and running for no extra charge.
